Job-Loss Mortgage InsuranceNow that you know exactly what job-loss mortgage insurance is, it is time now to consider some of the issues that are affiliated with this type of insurance.  Some of them are going to include variations of this policy.  Premiums, terms, benefits and limits are all things that you need to consider.  This is why you want to make sure that you truly do shop around and evaluate your debt and income.  That way you can make sure that you know which policy that you want to go with.

Next, affiliation is going to be the next thing that you think about.  Some policies require an affiliation with the lender, real estate agency or even another entity.  So that is something that you need to make sure that you think about as well.   However, these are just some of the issues that you need to think about.

Job loss mortgage insurance is something that is great – it truly is a fantastic thing if you really think that you might lose your job, you just need to make sure that you do your research and make sure that you know what policy you are going to go with!

Job-Loss Mortgage Insurance: Terms, Conditions, Eligibility — Part 1!

Wednesday, July 22nd, 2009

Job-Loss Mortgage InsuranceWith people constantly getting laid off and losing their jobs – where are all of the mortgage payments going to come from?  In this day and age, finding a job is very difficult and the unemployment rate is definitely growing higher and higher … however, did you know that there is Job-Loss Mortgage Insurance?  Most people have no idea what that means or even how they could be eligible for it.  That is exactly what we are going to explore in the next couple blogs – how you can get this insurance and what the terms and conditions are for it.

One of the first things that you want to take into consideration the vary of coverage, the cost and some of the benefits and requirements for this particular insurance.  You really should do your research on it and make sure that you shop around to find the best possible insurance for you and your family.  Now, if you have no idea what this insurance is – that is what we are going to break down for you.

Basically – this insurance means that your insurance company will pay for your mortgage if you happen to lose your job … to a point though.  Typically, this insurance policy will be paid directly to the lender and the policy benefits can include principle, interest, taxes and the mortgage itself – that is why you need to shop around a bit.

How You Can Drive More Business In These Tough Times! Part 2

How You Can Drive More Business In These Tough Times! Now that we have talked about networking events, there are a few more things that you should be doing when it comes to driving more business in the real estate game.  One of the first things is going to be sending out a electronic newsletter.  If you have used the excuse ‘it takes up too much time’ in the past, that is no longer an excuse that you should be using.  Electronic newsletters do work and they definitely do get your name out there and that is the entire point after all.

Another thing that you want to do is ask for referrals.  While the market might not be there just yet, it never, ever hurts to ask someone for a referral, after all – if your clients liked your business, their friends and family would like your business as well.  You always need to be thinking about the future whenever you are in the real estate business and a lot of agents have lost sight of that.

Finally, you need to make sure that you are still working all of those hours you were before and you are getting to the office early enough – the business is not there if you do not promote and drive it to be there.  Remember that!

How You Can Drive More Business In These Tough Times!

Saturday, July 11th, 2009

msIf you are in the realtor business, you know that business is bad right now.  Heck, many people think there is really no way to drive business in these tough times.  While there are only so many times that you can market yourself, there are many different things that I bet you have no tried due to past failure.  For example, if you have tried going out to networking events in the past but they have not ever worked – why not try it again and see if it works this time?

Networking yourself is a fantastic way to make all sorts of connections all over the world, not just in your own backyard.  The realtor business is all about appearance and how you present yourself and if you are constantly not showing up to events that you, specifically are invited to, you are not going to be invited any longer.

Think about that when you are trying to drive business – more ways that you can capture some business in the next blog!

Do You Have What It Takes To Be Successful?

Sunday, July 5th, 2009

successful-realtor-2If there is one thing that I have noticed this year, it is the number of real estate agents that are looking for the easy way to succeed.  Most of the time, if you really listen to exactly what the real estate agent is looking for, they are looking for the easy way out, yet they want to be successful.  If you find yourself in this boat, just know that you can not be successful – really successful by taking the easy way out.

Personally, I know that you work your way from the bottom up and gain your cliental base before you do anything and to be honest, in order to do that it is going to take a lot of hard work.

Hard work is something that many people do not think that real estate agents are about.  However, it does take a special kind of person to really and truly sell a house and become that ‘people’ person that most people hate.  You just have to remember to work hard and you will be successful, it is not easy though!

Property Taxes: Are You Going Over Them?

Saturday, July 4th, 2009

couple-with-real-estate-agent-be-uid-1354683If you are a real estate agent, you want to make sure that you help your homebuyers as much as you can and if you find them a home that costs just a little bit more than they are willing to afford – but they still want it, you want to make sure that you go over the property taxes with them.  This is honestly going to be a very, very important step as you do not want to have a liability if the property taxes are not discussed with the homebuyer.

Homebuyers, as we all know are very impressionable and they sometimes think that they can stretch their budget to afford a house that they have fallen in love with.  However, that is not always the case and that is when the real estate agent really needs to check in with the reality of the situation and let the couple really know that they might be able to afford the down payment, but as far as the taxes that go with the house – that might not be the case.

So really, make sure that you go over all of the details of the house with your homebuyers, that way everyone knows everything they need to! More detailed info on San Diego Property Taxes is right here.

Can A SmartPhone Really Help Your Business?

Saturday, June 27th, 2009

Technology in this day and age is remarkable – whether you are dealing with a computer or you are dealing with a phone.  Smartphone’s these days are all the rave and you, as a realtor can really benefit from having a Smartphone.  Not only can you bring your business with you wherever you are, but the fact that you can get instant communication with your clients is a great resource.

One of the most important things in the real estate business is responding quickly and if you are out of the office – sometimes you can lose out on a sale simply because you did not respond fast enough.  Responding quickly is a must and who wants to lose out on a sale simply because they are away from the office?

That is no longer the case!  Smartphone’s have made it possible for you to check your e-mail, answer the phone, log onto websites and just all around stay completely connected to the office while you are out of it on a sale or at an open house!

Get More Real Estate Business Without Being Overly Aggressive

Friday, June 26th, 2009

real-estate-agents-cardsOne thing that people absolutely hate about real estate agents is the fact that they are usually overly aggressive.  Most realtors believe that if they drive a hard bargain and are very aggressive with their clients they are going to keep them for a while and they are going to be called back and recommended.  That is a very big mistake on the realtor’s part as many people do not like realtors to be pushy or too aggressive to win the deal.

As you can see from this board of business cards that there are thousands of different real estate agents out there and while you want to be the one to win that listing, you need to make sure that you are not too pushy.  For example, do not call the prospect every other day or send too many e-mails when it is clear that they are not going to return any contact from you.  We all know that the early bird usually gets the worm, the same phrase works here too.

Just keeps these tips and tricks in mind and make sure that you do not do that – that way, you will win the business fairly!
